overhaul of the bounty system

I would like to suggest a complete overhaul of the bounty system. A new bounty system should have 3 things… - Uncheatable by those the bounty is put on. - Be a point of pain for those with a bounty on them. - Be a real reward for bounty hunters. Why will this benefit Low Sec? Because if it creates a real profession out of bounty hunting, then more people will take part in it and will go to Low Sec since this is where ...more »

Welcome--Getting Started

This community is dedicated to discussing ideas related to a "Criminal Industry" revitalization of Low Sec in the game EVE Online. Please submit your ideas, comment on others, and vote ideas up or down based on your preferences. Over time, we hope to see the best ideas bubble to the top; those will be used to form the basis of a "big picture story" for a new Low Sec that we will present as a proposal to CCP. Be sure ...more »

Quick Primer on Idea Submission

See that "Add your own idea..." box on the left side of the screen? Type something and submit. You'll get a pop-up form where you can flesh out the idea description, choose a category, and add tags. If your idea is related to a specific Low Sec Story (see Stories category), be sure to include that Story's unique tag so that all the ideas related to a specific Story can be easily seen as a group. Don't over-think things, ...more »

Understanding low-sec as a failed ecosystem and why increasing r

This idea is less a suggested fix than a model of low-sec that will help people understand the larger ramifications of a lot of the other suggestions that have been made. There is a suggested fix included here as well. Anyways, enjoy: The problems with low-sec can be understood as a failure of the ecosystem. The ecosystem of low-sec is composed of 3 primary characters 1) Pirates (Generally hostile PvP fit ships) ...more »

Hives of scum and villianry

When Incarna does eventually reach us, it would be good if low sec was treated differently. I agree with mynxee that more story line based ideas would be good, and in station this could be expressed by having hives of scum and villianry, like the star bar for example. Places you could meet up with other criminals in secret, role playing around a storyline set up by ccp or even a story line made by the players themselves. ...more »

A few ideas for low sec

Low sec needs pirates like corn flakes need milk but…. I am currently formulating a proposal for correcting some of the issues in low sec. A little about myself for context, I have been playing since 2006, I have several accounts, done just about everything in the game, cap ships fights, worm holes, blob fleets, small gang warfare etc. Recently I returned to low sec as a solo player and I love every minute of it. Yet, ...more »

Low Sec Missions

Ya just going to point out the true but old point again. Low sec had lots of targets when they got mission protection. Just put some old school mission protection back in place in low sec and watch it come back to life again. Beyond that your just going to keep adding content for the same people that are already there. And if thats not cool then it's just the same old let the pirats keep what they cryed so long and ...more »

Low Sec changes

I like many others think Low Sec isn't broken so much that its a perception issue preventing it from being populated. A thought I had on this would be to increase the travel through it by making it less risky. If the gate gun damage was increased by a large amount eliminating small gate camps. It would take many more ships to have a successful gate camp. A gate camp in Low Sec would be very rare but not impossible. ...more »
