Bounty System

Bounty System Why it doesnt work : The person you put the bounty on wants to get podded to recive the payout from a buddie. How to fix : Make it so that whoever has the bounty does not want to be killed. Do this by adding a penalty for having one's corpse turned into the bounty office. Such as concord disabling all implants from functioning on the character for 60 days. Or a temporary reduction in attributes for ...more »

Prison systems- Work farms

I saw this idea on the EVE forums, as a suggestion for an overhaul to the Bounty system. It was first suggested in 2004. I'm adding on to the idea. The idea was that when someone with a low-security rating and a bounty was podded, that their clone was automatically re-animated in a special 'prison system', or deadspace complex. These deadspace rehabilitation centers are illegal cloning stations which have been taken ...more »

Bounty-Kill right overhaul

A more reasonable overhaul to bounty mechanic: 1. Change the way bounties are rewarded. If a player has bounty on his head, then the ship he flies in gain a bounty instead of his pod. 2. Make this bounty gain related to ship size. A frigate class will only have 50k bounty, a cruiser class 1m bounty, BC 10m, BS 30m. The amount is subtracted from total bounty every time such ship is destroyed. So, if a player has 300m ...more »

pirate and "lawman" system

I suggest you...This suggestion uses parts of the "cops and robbers" type of idea. Players would be able to either join pirate or concord factions individually, or perhaps somehow label an existing corp as a "pirate" or "lawman" corp. for pirates: advantages: severely lessened sec status hits for kills and for pod kills. No GCC timer (or very short) access to "pirate bases", stations designed for pirate use, where ...more »

Overhaul everything

First make it to where there has to be several jumps between high sec and null. Right now many alliances use gates that jump from high sec to null. If there were at least 4 jumps between high sec and null it would give low sec some importance overnight. Second make low sec have diminishing security. (Example) .4 system has 2 guns on the gate and 3 on a station .3 system 1 gun on a gate and 2 on a station .2 system ...more »

Abandoned Stargates

Definition: Abandoned Stargates have been left behind in lowsec long ago by the empirial forces. Purpose: Pilots can hook up these abandoned gates to any existing lowsec gate within a certain radius, creating shortcuts and a tighter net throughout lowsec. Rules: - The pilot who established a link from an abandoned gate to another lowsec gate suffers a massive sec-status hit - Pilots who jump through an abandoned gate ...more »

Fluid system security based on resource extraction

Lowsec should be the lawless no-man's land. It is the in-between place with NPC-law on one side and player-law on the other. There is no sovereignty in lowsec other than defacto control by active players. CONCORD and Empire navies will not allow anyone to take sovereignty on their borders. Attempts at claiming sovereignty would be met with an immediate and overwhelming response. However, there is money to be made ...more »

Toll/ Border Gates into Low-sec

he goal is getting 'carebear' miners, haulers and industrialists into low-sec (without pirates wanting to shoot them up). The problem: ------------------- The Pirates don't actually NEED the care bear miners and industrialists there, except as targets. They can simply use one of their 'Neutral' alts to mission or truck stuff in from High-sec. Solution: ------------ A 'toll gate' or 'Border patrol' into Low-sec. ...more »

bounty hunter fix

Bounty Hunter fix ============== The problem at the moment with bounties is that characters with bounties on them can have an alt kill them and collect the money, or get a friend to kill them and collect the money, making a profit. This is another serious game exploit, which must be stopped. I think the best way around this is to actually collect on a bounty, you must apply for a 'bounty hunting' license. These ...more »

Character ALTS share security standings.

Character Alts shares sec status. ----------------------------- Summary: All of a players alts are all in the same corporation/ spaceship crew together. If the player gets a low/ high security status, the other two alts automatically get a low/high security status too. One of the big problems with the game in general is meta-gaming. Not only for the Pirates, but also for the carebears. The Pirates have the best of ...more »

Low-sec Fiefdoms

5. Low-sec Fiefdoms ================= Not all of low-sec would be filled with seedy Casinos, religious sects, Slavers, Slave liberators, etc. Some areas of low-sec would be awarded to citizens of the Empire for their outstanding service. What is a Fiefdom? ----------------------- Technically what it means is that the whole of Empire space belongs to the Empress/ Multi-corps, Tribal council, etc. That includes high-sec ...more »

jetsam and floatsam

5. Jetsam and floatsam =================== When a ship is blown up in space, not all of it remains as a wreck or cargo forever. Eventually, parts of it drift around in low-sec space. It's the gravitational effect of the celestial objects that attracts them. -Rogue drones: Not really jetsam and floatsam, but they could start inhabiting the low-sec areas in greater numbers. This would give the players an incentive to ...more »
